By Geometry...we account for the return of the seasons...Spring is here! Spring is a refreshing time of the year, especially in our climate, where there is a renewed sense of life and an eagerness to get out and enjoy the power, the wisdom, and the goodness of the Grand Artificer of the Universe.
Especially this year we are all looking to move forward with our lives and get back to doing the things we love. For Masonry this means getting back to Lodge and continuing our work as Faithful Craftsmen. Many Lodges continued to remain active in at least some capacity during the pause and the reservations of others were certainly respected. Last year a common positive phrase was “we are all in this together.” I believe this phrase works just as well now as it did then. We are all in this together! The more we can work together certainly the better we are all for it. Our Grand Lodge Officers are fully in sync and have a common goal to move Masonry forward in South Dakota. We have a desire to help make our Lodges even better as we emerge from the challenges we faced recently and may have possibly had for some time. Our Grand Lodge Officers view their positions as team members and want to meet on the level to accomplish the goal to move Masonry forward. District Masters and Regional Grand Lodge Officers are great resources. The Grand Lodge Office and the wonderful team there is a huge asset to our membership and are eager to help. We have the tools in place to communicate back and forth with those resources and really encourage each Lodge to reach out. You may hear this a few times but we really need everyone’s help to update our member database to include good current contact information. This includes a good phone number, current mailing address, and an email address.
With electronic communication being the most economical, efficient, and fastest way to communicate it is important to stay connected this way. The email database utilized at the Grand Lodge level is only for the purpose of communication and to keep the membership informed. If you could please reach out to your Secretary to make sure this information is current that would be much appreciated.
Secretaries, the Grand Lodge Office is always here to help.

Respectfully submitted,
